How can we improve eOrder/ePickup?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.

  2. eOrder/Job Center Number Integration

    The integration between eOrder and Job Center has been great. We even adopted the Job Center order number as our invoice number.

    What would be a nice enhancement is if the eOrder matched the Job Center number that is generated.

  3. Enable Tab Order Customization

    I wish the eOrder tab order went:
    1.) Contact/WHO are you? (billing too)
    2.) Job Name/what job is this?
    3.) Order Info/what are we doing?
    4.) Shipping/where is it going?

    The first question when talking about any order (via a phone call, a customer question, production staff to production staff, etc) is WHOSE (company name/customer name) order is it. It's the inherent flow of the information hierarchy in a shop, and it would be nice to see eOrder mimick that.

  5. Red Text Enhancement: All Instructions and Comment Box Text

    Make any typed text in an Instructions Box or Comment Box red so it jumps out. That red text feature on other areas of eOrder is helpful, and anything a customer hand-types will be custom/require attention.

  6. Hours of Production: Vary by Day

    We are open M-Th, 7:30am - 5:30pm; and Fri 7:30am - 5pm. It would be great if eOrder could handle a time variation day-by-day for our hours of production (and requested due times).

  7. DUE TIME Time Block Weakness

    If a client starts an eOrder and selects the first available due time (say, 2 hours now, earliest available) but completes only the first page of eOrder and then walks away from the order form for two hours, when he comes back two hours later and completes the order form, his eOrder DUE time is earlier than his ORDERED BY time. This keeps happening to us, and not sure there's a fix on Opcenter's end, but it sure would be great if there IS a fix!

  8. Update CONTACT tab header

    When placing an order for someone else (bill-to/ship-to someone else) most people don't realize/understand the CONTACT tab is where they should put THEIR info so we know who to contact with file/order questions. Maybe the "CONTACT" tab's header could include text at the top of the page that reads: To the person submitting this order, please enter here YOUR contact info so we can reach out to you directly with any file/order questions.

  9. Desktop Application

    It would be great if customers could install a desktop version of eOrder on their local computer and did not have to log in through the web version each time.

  10. Duplicate Last Order for Customer

    Enable customers to recall/duplicate last order information (not files). This would be hugely beneficial to customers who order the same types of jobs over and over without having to spell out entire order and specs every single time.

  11. Popups for missing or incorrectly entered information

    Currently, when filling out the eOrder form and a piece of vital information is missed or entered incorrectly, the system notifies you by highlighting the specific field with a (almost imperceptible) red box. If you hover the cursor over the field you get a popup message notifying you of the problem. Is there a way to enable the system to have the popups show automatically when trying to advance to the next page instead of having to hover the cursor over them?

  13. Allow the disabling of specific calendar days, re: due date

    Allow us to disable specific calendar dates (i.e., 11/27 as it's Thanksgiving). Even if it has to be updated annually (as the date of Thanksgiving changes every year), that's fine.

  15. Create a Confirmation Page Before Placing Order

    It would be helpful if the customer saw an order summary (similar to the order confirmation sent via email after the fact) that they could confirm or go back and change before the order is sent. A confirmation screen before it is sent. The back button would then allow you to change what you saw on the confirmation screen before you place the order.

  16. Underline and make the highlighted changed items stand out more when printing in B/W

    When printing the work order ticket to b/w the highlighted items do not stand out as much. Can we underline them to stand out better? They are already bold but we would like for them to stand out even more.

  17. Remember Me for Shipping and Billing Tabs

    Customers have requested the ability to have a Remember Me specifically for the Shipping and Billing tabs, different than contact information.

  19. Migrate eOrder Away from Flash

    Is Flash blocked at your office, or your customer's office? Would you like OpCenter to fix this issue and re-write eOrder with HTML5, getting away from Flash?
