How can we improve Job Center?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.

  1. Client Name Duplication

    Our system allows for too many entries of the same name. We prefer all forms in all CAPS but eOrder always creates a new contact for each client. Even existing ones.
    Is there some kind of solution for this duplication?

  2. Add option for “pick up” or “delivery”

    1. Add a check box for “pick up” or “delivery” and option to add delivery address… since sometimes the delivery address is different than the client’s address.
    2. Change shipping address to account/client address

  4. Make Company Name the first field to select when creating order

    Starting a new order - the very first field we should have to complete should be Account (i.e., client). I feel this should be mimicked in eOrder too - we always start a conversation with WHO are you talking about, and then we go into details/questions. When I approach a production employee with a question, I start by saying "On that order"....everything here is organized by WHO is being billed. When someone calls requesting a status update, I have to ask WHO are you. It's just an inherent starting point for everything we have to do/talk about/etc.

  5. Due date to back date

    it would be nice if we could back the due date up. Sometimes we input jobs from the day before that were complete the day before, for search reasons we need to be able to put the actual date finished in the due date field. It would be nice to change that date to any date we would like, not just forward.

  6. Work Order Day of the Week

    Is there a way for the Work Order to say the day of the week that it is due, (Such as Tuesday, Wed. etc)?

  7. Contacts Loading Slowly

    We have a COD or cash account for all our clients that do not have accounts with our company. The issue we are having now is that it is taking Job Center Client a very long time to load the contacts.
    How is everyone else handling orders from clients without accounts?
    I have some ideas but I want to make sure I have explored all possible options before implementing a new system for my staff.

  8. Add Calendar View of all active jobs

    A lot of our jobs are due a week, fortnight, or even a month out, so seeing that job that isn’t due for a while could get annoying and easy to lose track of it.

  12. Make all of the tabs scalable

    Only account, project, and description are scalable. Our order numbers have gotten too long for the column, and making it able to scale would be very helpful.

  14. eOrder Integrated Orders Accept/Reject

    Allow user to either accept or reject automatically created Job Center orders from eOrder.

    We use the Job Center Order# as our work order & invoice number for billing. When customers send several eOrders as part of one large project, we end up having to absorb several orders.

    Create a shortcut to open job folder for a highlighted order.

    e.g. Ctrl + "Something" (as the letter "O" launches settings)

  17. Create ability to print a standard shipping/delivery label

    Some customers would like the ability to print a standard shipping/delivery label to attach to a package for their drivers reference.

  18. Save Location of Window Pane To The Screen

    I use two monitors at work & like many people have a paticular kind of setup. This means that Job Center has a specific location on one of my monitors.
    1. It would be convenient if everytime I ran the .exe the window would populate to the area on the screen that I last left it.
    2. I actually expand the window pane for reasons of efficiency & aesthetics.(Gotta make everything look sexy) So it would also be nice if Job Center not only populated to the last location of use but that it also took into account any adjustments…

  19. Color Coded Status

    I would like to see the background of the rows in Job Center change color as the status changes. Currently the jobs in or center are either white, yellow, red or blue depending on the deadline of the job. Our job center can have several jobs in it at one time, including orders that are put in from call ins or alk ins by our people up front. I currently put in orders that come in via email on the production floor as we produce them, strictly for billing purposes. Sometimes the jobs that are added from our people up…

  20. Could Job Center automatically tag an order with the name of the person who entered it?

    We have at least 10 different people entering orders and would like to have accountability by seeing who entered or made changes to the order.
